Milan Men's Fashion Week S/S 2012 - The Collections

It's been a few days since MFW wrapped up, but I still find myself going through all of the great looks that were revealed for Spring/Summer 2012. All of the designers did an amazing job, and although it's always hard to pick favorites, I selected a few of the looks that really stood out for me. Check them out here:

Bally did the impossible, and made me want to wear shorts! All jokes aside, I just love the use of color in their collection, and an oversized bag is always welcomed.

Calvin Klein

Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta amazed me with the beautifully tailored looks and color combinations.

In love with most of the looks from the Canali show, they just scream summer, relaxation and the saturated blue suit - I would kill to wear.

Dolce & Gabbana
I'll be honest, I did not expect this collection to grow on me the way it did - but it has, and the show is now among my favorites.

Emporio Armani

Ermanno Scervino
I just want everything in this collection. Simply amazing, the show left me speechless.

Ermenegildo Zegna
Again, a collection that would be perfect for those hot summer days.

Giogrio Armani
Of all the collections, this is probably the one that best fits my style, and what I would (at least deam to) wear.

I had a really hard time trying to pick my favorite Iceberg looks, because it was such an amazing show.

John Richmond
Again, one of my favorite collections, it had such a wide range style-wise, and I just love the pop of color.

Versace is probably the most talked-about show from MFW. The looks were simply amazing, I mean, I would kill for the jacket pictured above. But besides the beautiful menswear collection, Donatella Versace walked down the runway wearing a dress that was later revealed to be a part of her upcoming collection in collaboration with H&M.
This is definitely news to get excited over, as H&M's previous collaborations - which included Lanvin, Jimmy Choo and Roberto Cavalli - were very successful to say the least.
I know I'll definitely be camping outside the H&M store this November, when the collection will come out.

What did you think of MFW? What were your favorite shows or looks?

  1. I  love them all. I am looking fw to see the day when every single man will own at least one oversized bag....I think I'm gonna be waiting quite a while...

  2. i honestly can't live without an oversized bag.. i mean, there's a lot of stuff to carry around: my camera, wallet, keys, phones, etc...
